Cycling Route - From the heart of the town to Carthusian silence (via Sojek to Žiče Charterhouse and Loče – longer route)

The trail takes you across the green Konjiška Gora, past the mysterious Žiče Charterhouse and through idyllic countryside where nature breathes in its own rhythm.

Start your day in the historic town center of Slovenske Konjice and set off on a true cycling adventure. Ride through the square alongside a charming stream and pastel-colored houses, and soon you’ll find yourself on a gravel path leading past the entrance to Little dragon's learning Trail. Take a short detour to Konjice Castle, just slightly off the route, which rewards visitors with stunning views and a glimpse into the mysteries of the past. A gentle climb along the gravel road follows, with the forest providing welcome shade throughout.

At the top of Konjiška Gora, at Trije Križi, enjoy a descent towards Kamna Gora and Sojek, while in the valley you are greeted by the tranquil beauty of Žiče Charterhouse. Continue on asphalt to Žiče, where in April and May the rare and charming yellow-flowered plant, Žiče grobeljnik, blooms.

Next comes a scenic ride along the Dravinje River valley to Loče and Zbelovo, passing Jernejček pond, Spodnje Grušovje, and Tepanje, before turning onto peaceful country roads that eventually lead back to the town.

Well-deserved end of the day? Treat yourself to an ice cream at Mali Čoko, perfectly rounding off the experience.
