Drive to Klopni vrh if you’re looking for a cycling route accompanied only by the sounds of nature and scenic views of Pohorje from the other side of the mountain range. This route is a longer version of the relaxing ride to Klopni vrh and also takes you to Šumik and Osankarica.
Route description:
From Rogla, follow the asphalt road towards Pesek (if you arrive from the direction of Zreče, simply continue in the same direction). When you reach Koča na Pesku, turn right onto the gravel road towards Oplotnica. After approximately two kilometres, you will arrive at the Zgornja brv junction, where you turn left towards Koča pod Klopnim vrhom. After a pleasant few kilometres, you will reach the hut, where a beautiful view opens up towards Ruše and Maribor.
Continue in the same direction towards Šumik and Osankarica. A calming forest road follows, where you can enjoy the soothing sounds of the Pohorje forests. Upon reaching Dom na Osankarici, turn right towards Rogla. After a longer climb, you will reach Spodnja brv, where you turn right and complete the circular route once you arrive back at Zgornja brv. There, turn left and continue to Koča na Pesku, where you choose the left asphalt road leading back towards the top of Rogla.
