The Zreče part of the Pohorje area is known for its rich water sources, which have always strongly shaped both the natural landscape and the economic development of the region. The easy Water Educational Trail in Zreče is designed as a loop, but you can join or leave it at any point along the route. The recommended starting point is the former railway station, where you will find a map showing all eight key points of the trail. The points are up to 5 km apart, so cycling is the best option for visiting them.

You will be guided by 8 informative and educational panels:

  • the former railway station,
  • a restored well,
  • the Dravinja River and small hydropower plants,
  • Petelinek Mill,
  • Buci Mill,
  • Zreče Lake and the Koprivnica stream,
  • Terme Zreče (thermal waters in Zreče).

Starting point: Terme Zreče
