The beginnings of tennis in Slovenske Konjice date back to 1925, when it was played by the children of Prince Windischgrätz, the owner of the Trebnik Manor, which still stands today in the immediate vicinity of the tennis courts.
The first real tennis courts were built in 1974 in a beautiful location below Konjiška gora and just above the idyllic old square centre of Slovenske Konjice. Today, there are 6 sand courts, usually open from April to November, in the park by a small pond with century-old trees.
