The local Robert Vrečko is a passionate collector of antiques and everything which nostalgically reminds us of the past times. In the very centre of Slovenske Konjice, in one of the bourgeois houses in the Old Town Square, which belongs to his family which have lived there for many years, an excellent museum collection of military objects from the Austro-Hungarian period was created by him.

The collection predominately from the time of World War I mainly includes:

  • sabers,
  • helmets,
  • (head) covers,
  • medals,
  • postcards,
  • photographs,
  • excavations from the Isonzo Front and
  • many other military, patriotic and religious objects that take us back to the Austro-Hungarian period.

The extensive collection is strongly connected to the town of Slovenske Konjice and will awaken a spirit of an explorer within you, no matter if you live in these idyllic places or you are just visiting.

As part of the historical exploration in the immediate poximity, visit the Trebnik Manor, the Old Castle of Konjice, the Firefighting Museum of the Dravinja Valley and the Riemer Town Gallery.
