ABOUT THE FESTIVAL OF MUSIC
The Slovenian Festival of Music is part of the global Fête de la Musique initiative, which began in 1982 in France. The date chosen was 21 June — the first day of summer, when the day is the longest and the night is the shortest. Today, this musical celebration takes place in over 150 countries and more than 1000 cities around the world.
