Žganjekuha Kejžar grew out of a century-old tradition of distilling fruit spirits on the beautiful, orchard-covered hills at the foot of Pohorje. A special part of their story is the grandmother, known as the Chestnut Mother, who once supported her large family on her own by distilling spirits and trading excellent apple cider. Today, they lovingly continue her tradition, producing premium natural distillates with no added aromas or sugar, characterized by a perfect harmony of fruity aroma and taste. Most of the raw materials are sourced from their own orchards, where fruit is grown according to integrated production principles, while some come from meadow orchards that meet the highest organic standards. In addition to pure natural spirits, their rich product range includes refined liqueurs enriched with fruit, sugar, or local honey.
