Slovenia, as well as the people beyond its borders, were impressed by the extraordinary novelty on Rogla, which opened its doors in September: The Pohorje Treetop Walk.

Ever since its opening, there have been arriving flocks of enthusiastic tourists, since the Walk offers a whole new perspective on nature. However, walking among the treetops is not just a challenge for summer days. The views far beyond the Pohorje spruces, when covered with snow, offer an even more inspiring experience.

IDENTITY CARD

The Pohorje Treetop Walk is set in the heart of the mighty Pohorje forests, on top of Rogla, at the altitude of 1517 meters. The 1024-meterlong Walk up to 24 meters high takes you through the diverse Pohorje forest, where you will encounter many surprises and attractions. The most impressive is the 37-meter-high tower, thanks to which you will see the magnificent trees, dozens or even hundreds of years old, at your fingertips. Your horizons will be expanded by the training stations, while the adrenaline stations, such as the virtual abyss and the experience stations with rope elements will pump the blood through your veins.

FEEL THE WINTER IDYLL

Walk along the Pohorje Treetop Walk during the winter days and observe the quiet and sleepy Pohorje nature. It is easy to combine the excursion with the skiing day on Rogla and additionally enhance it. Put a warm woolen cap on your head, wear the thick gloves and then touch the frozen needles of the treetops. Observe the pristine snow blanket in the treetops, freshly glittering in the sun, and calm the stream of thoughts while looking far down the snowy valley.

AN INCLUSIVE EXPERIENCE

In addition to the primary objective of the Treetop Walk, which is to educate about the natural processes in the forest and how to protect trees or the valuable forest ecosystem, it has a very inclusive vision. The Treetop Walk, including the tower, is fully accessible to strollers and wheelchairs, since the highest ascent of the Walk measures only 6 %, while at the same time the fences are constructed in such a way that nobody is deprived of the view between the treetops.

WHEN AND WHERE?

The Pohorje Treetop Walk is, as already stated, located at the top of Rogla, then look to the left. You will get there if you write the following address in your navigation: Rogla 111, 3214 Zreče. Free parking can be found relatively close to the entrance of the Walk, depending on the occupancy of course. The Walk is open daily, excluding 1st November and 24th December, and the working hours vary by month. In November, December, January and February it is open from 10 am to 4 pm, in March, April and May from 10 am to 5 pm. Check the other times at www.potmedkrosnjamipohorje.si.
