St George’s Festival in Slovenske Konjice, together with the jubilee 10th St George’s Craft and Culinary Fair, once again brings together creativity, rich tradition, and local flavours, inviting visitors to enjoy a pleasant gathering in the town centre.
The event will traditionally open with marching music by the Slovenske Konjice Wind Band, followed by a parade of little Georges and Daisies, adding a playful, green, and springtime spirit to the town.
Between 2 p.m. and 9 p.m., a colourful selection of local food producers and masters of crafts and cuisine will present themselves at market stalls. During this time, the town centre will be animated by children’s creative workshops, carriage rides, an exhibition of small pedigree animals, and lively street music performed by singers, dancers, and other artists. This year, the popular Godba Fest will once again enrich the programme, filling the town centre with the lively energy of brass bands.
The event is organised with sustainability in mind, and visitors and vendors alike are encouraged to act responsibly and environmentally conscious. Rogla - Pohorje Tourist Destination proudly holds the Slovenia Green Destination Gold label, and in 2024 the event also received the Okusi Rogle quality label for a traditional festival offering an authentic, genuine, and flavourful experience of tradition blended with modernity.
