You are warmly invited to the 9th St. George’s Crafts and Culinary Fair in Slovenske Konjice, where local producers will showcase their finest products and traditional dishes with a modern twist. The event will be rounded off with a concert by the band Počeni škafi.
You are warmly invited to the 9th St. George’s Fair of Handicrafts and Culinary Arts, taking place on Saturday, 6 September 2025, from 11:00 to 17:00 at the Town Square in Slovenske Konjice.
The event will open with a performance by the Slovenske Konjice Brass Band, followed by the ceremonial awarding of the “Okusi Rogle” (Tastes of Rogla) certificates, established according to the Izvorno Slovensko model. These certificates will be awarded to providers who received the brand recognition for their products or services in 2025 in the following categories:
- agricultural produce, food products, and beverages, handicraft products, dishes and drinks served in the hospitality sector.
From 11:00 to 17:00, a vibrant group of local masters of handicrafts and culinary arts will present their creations at the stalls. Visitors will also be able to explore various exhibitions:
- “Huda mravljica in Konjice” with a pop-up recital, the outdoor exhibition Žička kartuzija Monastery 860, an exhibition of small pedigree animals in the park next to the Dom kulture Slovenske Konjice.
Between 12:00 and 15:00, the town center will come alive with children’s creative workshops and ethno-animations featuring an organ grinder, vintage cars, and the beloved “Huda mravljica” from the popular children’s song by local author Branko Rudolf, sure to delight both children and adults. The vibrant programme will be rounded off at 15:00 with a concert by the band Počeni škafi.
