Oplotnica is also joining this nationwide initiative with events that encourage connection with nature, awareness of the importance of knowledge, and personal growth throughout life.
The event is part of the Lifelong Learning Weeks 2025, the largest national campaign in the field of education and learning in Slovenia, celebrating its 30th anniversary this year under the slogan Slovenia, a learning country.
On Saturday, 14 June 2025 at 3:00 PM, you are warmly invited to the beautiful surroundings of the Oplotnica Gorge, where we will experience a deep connection with nature through a guided forest therapy session and an optional immersion in the clean, refreshing stream Oplotniščica.
The event will be led by Mojca Veler, a certified forest therapy guide, who will take participants into the silence of the forest — a space of slowness, mindfulness, and gentle movement. Forest therapy has been proven to improve well-being, reduce stress, and support mental health.
After the therapy session, participants will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the stream, accompanied by Boža Jamas, a learning ambassador and long-time practitioner of cold-water bathing. Cold-water immersion further strengthens the immune system, sharpens the mind, and promotes inner calm.
Meeting point: Parking area at the entrance to Oplotnica Gorge at 3:00 PM
The event is free of charge, but the number of participants is limited.
