The Society for the Nature of Pohorje and the Mountain Nature Conservation Committees of the mountaineering associations of Koroška, Podravje, and Savinjska invite you to a nature conservation hiking trip, "Day for Pohorje," on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at 9:00 AM, which will take place between Rogla and the Lovrenc Lakes.
With this event, we will commemorate May 24, European Day of Parks, and the declaration of the Pohorje Regional Park.
PROGRAM
- 8:45 to 9:00 Gathering of participants in front of the Planja Pizzeria at Rogla
- 9:00 Welcome speech
- 9:10 Departure towards Ostruščica
- 9:30 Arrival at Ostruščica: welcome by organizers, short cultural program, presentation of the Pohorje Regional Park, and invitation to Pohorje municipalities to join the park
- 10:15 Departure towards Lovrenc Lakes
- 11:30 Arrival at Lovrenc Lakes and nature conservation presentation of the reserve
- 12:30 Conclusion of the meeting and return towards Rogla or continuation in other directions according to the programs of individual participant groups
Instructions for participants:
- Each participant must follow the instructions of the guide of their group.
- Hiking equipment suitable for an easy mid-mountain hike, food, and drink from your backpack.
- Participation is at your own risk.
- Register your participation with the VGN and GS leaders of your area listed below.
