Bench of Two Hearts – A Hidden Spot by the Water

Duration: 2025

Sala: “Look at the surface. Sometimes it’s so calm, you can see your own reflection. And if you look long enough, you’ll see even more – water that breathes.”

Mandi: “I know! One time, I saw a frog in the water… and it looked just like me! Well, a bit prettier, but still!”

Sala: (smiling) “That’s because you were looking at the frog. Not yourself.”
“You know, Mandi, water has its own story. Fish, amphibians, dragonflies – they all find their rhythm here.”

Mandi: “I always thought if you stare into water long enough, it tells you your future. And then I fell in.”

Sala: “And what did it tell you?”

Mandi: “That it’s cold.”

CHALLENGE: NATURE’S MIRROR

Sit on the bench and observe the pond’s surface – for at least 2 minutes. Don’t look at your phone.
Then, draw or describe your "reflection": Which animal or element in nature represents you most today?
Are you more like a wave, a stone, or a dragonfly? Why?

Next, create a symbol of two hearts in nature: Use twigs, leaves, stones, or flowers to form two connected hearts – one for yourself, one for nature.
Leave your symbol behind for the next visitor, who may notice it and feel inspired.

Did you know?
Dragonflies, one of the world’s oldest species, often rest on the surface of this pond. Their larvae live underwater for several years before transforming into skilled fliers.
And amphibians? This pond is home to frogs, newts, and diving beetles – each playing a vital role in the natural balance.
