There will be free guided tours of the "silent beauty" – Žiče Carthusian Monastery, which boasts a brand-new roof on the Church of St John the Baptist. Visit Rogla, where we invite you to take part in a guided tour of the Pohorje Treetop Walk, where the star of Slovenian Cultural Day will be the folk poet Jurij Vodovnik, whose roots are here in Zreče Pohorje. Stop in Vitanje and enjoy a fascinating guided tour, which will be supplemented with a reading of poems of the nineteenth-century Vitanje folk poet Matija Štimulak. Did you know that the works of these folk poets form a unique treasure trove of culture, evoking wonderful images of how the inhabitants of the southern slopes of Pohorje lived in the past? What the songs of Slavko Avsenik are to Slovenia, the songs of Tine Lesjak are to Oplotnica. We will commemorate Tine Lesjak and his music on a guided tour of Oplotnica, where the mighty Pohorje meets the Oplotniško polje. We haven't forgotten about Slovenske Konjice either, where you are invited to listen to the poetry of Ivan Minatti, a son of Konjice, while taking a guided walk along the literary-tourist route In the Footsteps of Ivan Minatti.
